This highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed action-platformer Ori. Ori and the Blind Forest was one of the most beautifully designed games weve ever seen, and the sequel - Ori and the Will of the Wisps - was announced. The heavy emphasis on combat, however, doesn’t mean it will suddenly become Hollow Knight-ish game but for those who are looking for something different, it is definitely a breath of fresh air. Heal a broken land and discover Oris true destiny in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The wide variety of skill sets also make the game unique to match every play style. You have a bow from the start and can unlock more weapons as you progress ( even a perpetual lightsaber! ). Attacks in Blind Forest were minimal while it is the core of gameplay in Wisps. Sadly, looks like their new game is probably going to be published by Private Division, which means I have to boycott it. Part shooter, part action adventure a Metroidvania styled game with roots seemingly influenced by The Legend of Zelda series (as many games tend to be) Wisps feels and handles fluidly. They said it's not impossible for them to revisit the universe in the future, but they are done with it for now and wanted to move on to something else. Ori and the Will of the Wisps does a great job of combining many different genres to its benefit. This time around, the game is heavily focused on the combat system. The little spirit Ori is no stranger to peril, but when a fateful flight puts the owlet Ku in harm’s way, it will take more than bravery to bring a family back together, heal a broken land, and discover Ori’s true destiny.
